We have always enjoyed reading. The kind of books we read are mostly non-fiction and makes you look at life differently. They tap into your emotions and takes you on a journey from self reflection to self discovery. Words can be beautiful and powerful, but also hurtful and dangerous. The same can be said about life. Choose to look at the positive side of things, and choose to find beauty even when it might be really hard to find. Empower yourself, with wise words, and use it to change your life.
With two young kids, we are lucky if we have a gap to go to the bathroom on our own, let alone make time to read (with no interruptions)! Needless to say, we haven’t read anything new lately. When we do get a gap to read, we often resort to rereading a few pages out of our favourite books. We have read these books over so many times, it doesn’t matter where we start or stop reading, even for a short bit, it always leaves something for us to take away and ignites a renewed feeling of hope and positivity. Some of our books are by the same author.
This is because we found that the style of writing and storytelling ability resonates with us.
Yes, we hope to read some new books soon… But for now, these are our favourites, the ones we turn to time and again.
